Position Overview

Keensight Capital is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Intern to join its Legal Department. In this role, under the supervision of the Legal Department’s analyst and directors, you will be mainly responsible for reviewing commercial contracts and non-disclosure agreements with Keensight’s service providers, whether in connection with investment and divestment transactions or to support Keensight’s organizational needs. You may also be asked to work on specific matters arising in connection with the completion of investment and divestment transactions or ongoing fundraising activities.

In addition, you will contribute to cross-functional projects aimed at developing the legal team, in particular through the implementation of tools for monitoring and tracking all types of contracts.

You will be an integral member of the legal team while also working closely with the Compliance, Investment, and Finance teams.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on expertise in contract review while gaining a comprehensive understanding of how a management company within a European investment firm operates.

  • assisting the legal team with specific matters arising in connection with the completion of investment and divestment transactions, such as closing deliverables, corporate documentation, and post-closing follow-up;
  • supporting the legal team, where necessary, on ongoing fundraising activities;
  • contributing to cross-functional projects aimed at developing the legal team, in particular the design and implementation of tools for monitoring and tracking all types of contracts, including key terms, deadlines, renewals, and obligations;
  • liaising with the Compliance, Investment, and Finance teams, as well as with external counsel, on the matters entrusted to you;
  • conducting legal research and preparing internal notes on topics relevant to Keensight’s activities.

Qualifications

  • currently pursuing a Master’s degree in law (Bac+4/5), with an additional qualification in finance considered a plus;
  • a first experience in a law firm, ideally within the M&A/private equity and/or fund structuring teams;

  • ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines simultaneously;
  • curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a dynamic, international environment;
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.

What We Offer
