Contract Manager / Vertragsmanager (m/w/d)

The Second Foundation is an international energy trading company with around 400 employees based in Prague (Czech Republic), Zug (Switzerland), Mainz and Berlin (Germany), Charlotte (USA), and Tokyo (Japan). We specialize in the physical trading of electricity across 21 markets in Europe, North America, and Asia.  We focus on integrating and optimally marketing renewable energies and battery storage within the electricity market. Since 2023, the Second Foundation Group has been investing in its assets, particularly battery storage systems. With a portfolio of 15 battery storage projects with a capacity of over 500 MW, our next goal is to establish ourselves as a leading owner and operator of battery storage systems in Germany. Innovative and efficient storage solutions pave the way for deeper integration of renewable energy sources.  

We are looking for a Contract Manager who will join our Berlin team and be responsible for managing, developing, and optimizing our internal contract portfolio and the processes around contract creation. In this role, you will work closely with our legal department, serve as a central contact point for internal and external stakeholders, and ensure the smooth and efficient execution of contract management activities.

What would you work on?  

• Identifying contracts that could become part of the internal contract portfolio, focusing on the development, construction, operation, and marketing of battery storage systems or other renewable energy projects.


• Supporting the drafting of these contracts in collaboration with the legal department and/or external law firms.


• Independently managing and continuously improving the contract portfolio and internal processes—especially through the targeted use of AI-based and digital tools.


• Organizing and maintaining the contract archive.


• Communicating with external stakeholders such as landowners, authorities, land registries, and law firms.
