Job Title: Family Advocacy Program Training Instructor
Job Type: Part-time
Location: Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, July 20–23, 2026



Description:

The Family Advocacy Program Training Instructor will develop and deliver a four-day professional training program for staff supporting family readiness, advocacy, prevention, and community support services. The training will be structured, interactive, and continuing-education focused, with content designed to strengthen professional knowledge, communication, service coordination, trauma-informed practices, and client-support skills.

The instructor must be able to engage adult learners through lectures, group discussions, case-based learning, practical exercises, breakout sessions, and participant activities.



Qualifications:
  • Experience in social services, counseling, nursing, psychology, family support, prevention services, advocacy, education, or a related human services field.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering professional training to adult learners in a classroom, conference, workshop, or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of family support services, prevention practices, trauma-informed care, crisis response, resiliency, parenting support, professional boundaries, and client-centered service delivery.
  • Ability to provide or support continuing-education-eligible training for fields such as nursing, counseling, social work, or related disciplines.
  • Ability to teach topics related to professional ethics, confidentiality, responsible practice, cultural awareness, and diverse family systems.
  • Strong public speaking, facilitation, group discussion, and adult-learning engagement skills.
  • Ability to provide attendance records, training materials, and continuing education documentation.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver general training sessions and specialized breakout sessions.
  • Provide continuing-education-eligible instruction on topics such as professional ethics, confidentiality, boundaries, cultural competency, communication, trauma-informed care, resiliency, client engagement, and service coordination.
  • Tailor breakout sessions to different staff groups and program areas.
  • Prepare training materials, including slides, handouts, exercises, outlines, and participant resources.
  • Maintain accurate attendance rosters.
  • Provide continuing education documentation at the conclusion of training.
  • Maintain professional conduct and comply with site rules, security procedures, and facility requirements.
  • Protect government facilities, equipment, and materials through proper use and reasonable care.
