Vida are partnered with a fast-growing, highly innovative medical device start-up in their search for an accomplished Finance Specialist.
Summary/Objective:
The Finance Specialist oversees all aspects of transactional finance support for the German business entity. This role is a critical liaison between the Controller and CFO (located in Israel), the customer service team, and the Sales field employees.
Essential Functions:

- Owns all key finance functions, including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank payments, and tax compliance.
- Process the day-to-day bookkeeping entries, such as bank reconciliation, vendor invoice processing, preparing payments in bank portals, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, managing the fixed-assets schedules, booking general entries and payroll entries, and managing accruals for quarterly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare the quarterly and annual financial closing of the books according to corporate reporting package requirements and guidelines.
- Supports expense reporting - review for compliance with the Company’s guidelines and process expense reports.
- Generates reports for key finance metrics, including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, income statements, and balance sheet for audit .
- Ability to assist the customer service team with administrative and logistics regarding shipments to customers.
Required Education & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the finance field.
- English – high level.
- Familiar with German tax guidelines (VAT reporting, Employee expenses, deductibles vs. non-deductibles).
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and policies.
- Experience using ERP system.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills (listening, writing, and speaking).
- Strong analytical, process, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with minimal supervision.
