As part of the indie group, Symeo plays a key role in driving the technologies that will shape tomorrow’s mobility. We are seeking a motivated Embedded Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of advanced radar and telemetry systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge products in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop embedded software for radar and telemetry systems
Create, customize, and optimize Yocto layers, recipes, and images for target hardware
Integrate Board Support Packages (BSPs), device drivers, and middleware into the Linux stack
Maintain and continuously improve existing industrial radar and telemetry products
Ensure firmware packages align with European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) regulations
Qualifications

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Diploma in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Proficiency in C and Python programming
Strong experience with Yocto and embedded Linux
Hands-on experience with embedded platforms (e.g., i.MX8, Xilinx Zynq, NVIDIA)
Solid understanding of hardware–software interaction
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug complex embedded systems
Experience using build systems, CI/CD tools, and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence)
Business-fluent English required; German language skills are a plus
