We are hiringan Account Executive to spearhead growth across a portfolio ofengaged Enterprise customers in the German market. These customershave embarked on their cloud journey with AWS and require strategicguidance to accelerate their cloud migrations. As an AccountExecutive, you will be responsible for complex account management,fostering C-Level and Board-level relationships, and driving theadoption of current and new AWS services. In this quota-carryingrole, you will leverage your sales and technical expertise to workproactively with customers, identifying opportunities to acceleratetheir cloud transformation. You will harness the power of AWS'sinnovative services and engage internal resources to execute on ourcustomers' strategic objectives, enabling them to adapt to evolvingmarket trends. This role demands a forward-thinking mindset, arelentless drive to uncover new opportunities, and a proven trackrecord of using technology to deliver impactful solutions forcustomers. You will be part of a verticalized team focused on keyindustries such as Manufacturing, Retail, Travel & Transport,Power & Utilities, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Media &Entertainment, and Financial Services. As an Account Executive,your responsibilities will include territory planning, forecasting,and managing the full sales cycle. You will develop and executeaccount strategies, manage pipelines, and drive revenue growthwithin your assigned accounts. Additionally, you will collaboratewith cross-functional teams, such as Solutions Architects andProfessional Services, to deliver comprehensive solutions to ourcustomers. AWSSales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible fordriving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastestgrowing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-levelcustomers including public sector. The AWS Global Support teaminteracts with leading companies and believes that world-classsupport is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partnerswith a global list of customers that are building mission-criticalapplications on top of AWS services. Key job responsibilities -Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth andcloud adoption within your assigned accounts - Manage the fullsales cycle, including territory planning, forecasting, pipelinemanagement, and opportunity pursuit - Foster and maintain strongrelationships with C-Level executives and decision-makers -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as SolutionsArchitects and Professional Services, to deliver comprehensivesolutions - Understand customer business objectives andrequirements, and position AWS services to address their needs -Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existingaccounts and new prospects - Manage contract negotiations andensure successful deal closure - Provide exceptional customerexperiences and drive customer satisfaction A day in the life Aspart of our centralized sales team in the heart of Munich, you'llexperience a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your daysinvolve strategizing with colleagues, leveraging video conferencingto connect with customers, and driving impactful conversations.Face-to-face collaboration within your tight-knit team is key,enabling you to tackle complex deals and large-scale initiatives.Our state-of-the-art office facilitates seamless teamwork andknowledge sharing, while ongoing training keeps you ahead of thecurve in the cloud landscape. For instance, we already useGenerative AI in our day-to-day to increase efficacy and focus onvalue-adding tasks. You'll thrive in this high-energy, scale-drivenenvironment focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences.Different to many sales roles, travel is only expected at about 10%or less of your working time. About the team You'll be part of ahigh-performing team that follows the Amazon "two-pizza team"principle, enabling innovation and speed. On average, we worktogether from our Munich office at least three days a week,fostering collaboration and teamwork. We also provide flexibility,with the possibility to 'work from anywhere' for several weeksduring the year. When needed, we meet customers face-to-face, oftenleveraging our co-working space to host them onsite.
