Arbeitsbeschreibung - Accountant (m/f/x)

  • Oversee the entire general ledger process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with German GAAP
  • Conduct regular account reconciliations and analyses to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of financial data
  • Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with German GAAP
  • Maintain robust internal controls and ensure adherence to legal regulations and accounting policies
  • Ensure that payroll is processed in time by an outsourced accounting company, ensuring timely payment to employees
  • Document and enhance existing accounting processes to streamline workflows and drive efficiencies
  • Support the preparation of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Respond to inquiries from management and external auditors as needed.
  • Degree in business administration with a focus on accounting and/or commercial education with further training as an accountant (m/f/x) (IHK)
  • 2-3 years experience in accounting, ideally in the technology sector or in SaaS-based business models
  • Very good understanding of German GAAP
  • A completed training as a payroll accountant (m/f/x) (IHK) would be a plus
  • Profound knowledge in working with Excel as well as with accounting systems such as DATEV and Business Central
  • Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, structured and precise way of working
  • Fluent communication skills in German and English
