Aerodynamik Spezialist (m/w/d)

Für ein mehrjähriges Projekt mit einem großen deutschen Automobilhersteller sucht die Firma Holzer Motorsport einen Spezialisten für Aerodynamikentwicklung im Motorsport mit mindestens 2 Jahren Berufserfahrung.
Du arbeitest voll integriert und gleichberechtigt im Aerodynamikteam des Herstellers und begleitest die Produktentwicklung über alle Phasen – von der Konzeptauslegung bis zum Einsatz des Rennfahrzeugs.

Holzer Motorsport is seeking a specialist in motorsport aerodynamic development with a minimum of 2 years work experience for a multi-year project with a major German automotive manufacturer. You will work fully integrated and as an equal member of the manufacturer's aerodynamics team, supporting product development through all phases from concept design to the deployment of the race car.

• Du entwickelst aerodynamische Konzepte, Schlüsselkomponenten und aero-thermische Teilsysteme (z. B. Unterboden, Diffusor, Flügel, Kühlung/Bremse) mit unmittelbarem Performance-Fokus.
• Du erstellst, pflegst und optimierst CFD-Modelle, analysierst Strömungsfelder und KPIs und leitest daraus konkrete Designschritte ab; dabei arbeitest du eng mit Methoden-Spezialistinnen und -Spezialisten zusammen und hältst die Schnittstellen zur Toolchain im Blick.
• Du bist in die gesamte Kette der Produktentstehung eingebunden – von Konzeptauslegung und Konzeptbewertung über Optimierung und Charakterisierung von Schlüsselkomponenten bis zur Abnahme des Fahrzeugs im Windkanal, auf der Strecke oder in entsprechenden Testumgebungen.
• Du begleitest Windkanaltests in Vorbereitung und Durchführung (Festlegen von Modellspezifikation, Testprogramm, Testauswertung) und unterstützt die Korrelation von CFD-, Windkanal- und Streckendaten.
• Deine Verantwortung wächst schrittweise von Komponentenpaketen hin zu Teilprojekt-Ownership und der Koordination kleiner Arbeitspakete.
• Du arbeitest mit modernen Entwicklungsmethoden und Infrastruktur (CFD, Windkanal, Test/Track im hochklassigen Motorsport.
• Du hast direkten Einfluss auf die Fahrzeugperformance in einem kompetitiven Umfeld.

• You develop aerodynamic concepts, key components and aero-thermal subsystems (e.g. underbody, diffuser, wing, cooling/braking) with a direct performance focus.
• You create, maintain and optimize CFD models, analyze flow fields and KPIs and derive concrete design steps from them; in doing so you work closely with methodology specialists and keep an eye on the interfaces to the toolchain.
• You are involved in the entire product development chain from concept design and evaluation to optimization and characterization of key components, up to the acceptance of the vehicle in the wind tunnel, on the track or in appropriate test environments.
• You will accompany wind tunnel tests in preparation and execution (defining model specification, test program, test evaluation) and support the correlation of CFD, wind tunnel and track data.
• Your responsibilities will grow gradually from component packages to sub-project ownership and the coordination of small work packages.
• You work with modern development methods and infrastructure (CFD, wind tunnel, test/track) in top class motorsport.
• You have direct impact on vehicle performance in a competitive environment.

• Studienabschluss in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Fahrzeugtechnik, Maschinenbau oder vergleichbar.
• Mindestens 2 Jahre Erfahrung in der Aerodynamik-Entwicklung von Rennfahrzeugen (z.B. LMDh, GT3, Formel/Prototypen).
• Gute Kenntnisse in Strömungsmechanik, sowie praktische Erfahrung mit CFD und Windkanaltests.
• Routine mit CATIA V5, ANSA und STAR-CCM+ oder vergleichbaren Tools.
• Basiskenntnisse in Datenanalyse/KPIs.
• Strukturierte Arbeitsweise, Teamorientierung und klare Kommunikation.
• Sehr Gute Englischkenntnisse. Deutsch ist von Vorteil. Track-Erfahrung ist ein Plus.
• Arbeitserlaubnis für Deutschland

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
• At least 2 years of experience in the aerodynamic development of racing cars (e.g. LMDh , GT3 Formula/Prototypes).
• Good knowledge of fluid mechanics, as well as practical experience with CFD and wind tunnel tests.
• Routine with CATIA V5, ANSA and STAR-CCM+ or comparable tools.
• Basic knowledge of data analysis/KPIs.
• Structured work methods, team orientation, and clear communication.
• Very good English skills. German is an advantage. Track experience is a plus.
• Work permit for Germany
