Your Responsibilities

As an AI Product Manager (m/f/d) in the DocuWare AI Hub, you shape our AI-driven document management solutions by working hands-on with customers and cross-functional teams to identify needs, validate ideas, and translate them into product improvements that drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

Within the DocuWare AI Hub, you work in cross-functional teams together with Frontend and Backend Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, UX Designers, and QA to successfully advance the products you own.

Your responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Ownership: You define and continually refine the product vision and strategy for your AI products, own the entire product lifecycle from idea to launch and beyond, and translate business goals and customer needs into a clear, prioritized product roadmap.
Product Discovery: You identify opportunities and risks through market and competitive analysis, validate new product ideas through user interviews, usability tests, and experiments, and turn customer problems into clear product requirements and user stories. You also collaborate closely with UX to design intuitive concepts, flows, and prototypes, and stay on top of new AI technologies to assess their potential impact.
Product Delivery: You coordinate the timely, high-quality delivery of product increments in an agile, interdisciplinary team. You work closely with Engineering to clarify requirements, resolve blockers, and support technical decisions, while collaborating with QA to ensure consistent product quality and fostering an iterative, data-driven development process.
Measurement & Improvement: You continuously monitor product performance using relevant KPIs and qualitative feedback, and derive concrete improvement initiatives from data, experiments, and customer insights.
Communication & Go-to-Market: You communicate product strategy, roadmap, and progress transparently to internal stakeholders, collaborate with Marketing and Sales for go-to-market activities and product positioning, and represent the product both internally and at customer meetings or industry events.

What you need to succeed

You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration with a technical focus, or a comparable field.
You have several years of experience in product management, ideally with software, AI, or data-driven products.
You bring a strong understanding of both product discovery and product delivery, and you are experienced in developing and maintaining product roadmaps and strategies.
You have sound knowledge of AI technologies and know how to apply them to create real product value.
You combine technical feasibility with a clear focus on customer and business value, and are highly analytical with the ability to break down complex topics into actionable steps.
You are hands-on in conducting user interviews and using qualitative customer insights to drive product decisions.
You communicate effectively and are able to align diverse stakeholders across cross-functional teams, including Engineering, UX, and QA.
You work self-organized, pragmatically, and with structure even in complex environments.
You are highly customer-oriented, driven to deeply understand user needs, and eager to continuously learn.
You are fluent in English; German is a plus.
