Arbeitsbeschreibung - Artisan- Sealing Jaw Fitter K4 -4 Positions


Job Purpose:
Safely and efficiently maintain all the sealing jaws for the form, fill and seal machines to ensure optimal sealing and performance requirements are met.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To service jaws and its components
  • Ensure availability of spare jaws per machine.
  • Ensure all spare jaws well serviced on time and available per machine during shift/operation to avoid lost time of machine and machine down time.
  • Ensure all jaws and spare jaws well stored and labelled per individual machine.
  • Servicing Doser, conveyors
  • Cleaning of magnets
  • Carry out associated operations according to standards (cleaning of grate magnets)
  • Carry out basic maintenance procedures as required to ensure operations are at maximum efficiency.
  • Assist with breakdowns at packing including mechanical, instrument breakdowns and others as directed.
  • Report any defects/damage of jaws that need special attention/technical assistance to shift artisan and foreman on shift for more assistance.
  • Contribute to problem solving during CI meetings by identifying areas for improvement and making suggestions.
  • Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that work is done to the relevant safety standards.
  • If any situation that is non- conforming to required standards, unsafe, or unhealthy, or anything that threatens to impact on the environment comes to your attention, report this to your superior.
  • Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001/ISO 22000 to achieve quality and food safety standards.
Job requirements:
  • Technical certificate in Fitter/mechanical or related
  • Experience in Food Safety System Certification is an added advantage.
  • Fundamental electrical and mechanical understanding
Terms of service:  The successful candidate will be engaged on permanent contract.
