Your mission

Design, build, and deploy the backend of a military-grade situational awareness system with sub-100 ms latency.
Integrate and fuse radar, optical, and acoustic sensor data into mission-ready outputs.
Deliver secure, reliable APIs to tactical displays with robust error handling and monitoring.
Implement offline-first architecture with CouchDB replication for 95% disconnected operation.
Ensure field-ready performance through Docker containerization and fault-tolerant deployment strategies.
Build authentication/authorization using JWT and role-based access, applying zero-trust principles.
Design for operational resilience under harsh, unreliable network conditions.

Your profile

Proven track record of building, debugging, and optimizing production backend systems.
Expertise in Rust (Actix-web), PostgreSQL, Redis, MQTT, and WebSockets.
Hands-on experience with binary data processing and multi-sensor fusion.
Deep understanding of the end-to-end pipeline from data ingestion to operator display.
Thrives in high-pressure, rapidly changing environments with a focus on shipping robust solutions quickly.
Experience deploying in distributed, disconnected environments with Docker.
Skilled in designing systems that degrade gracefully and handle sync conflicts.
Security-by-design mindset, integrating authentication and encryption from the start.
Strong motivation for defense and safety-critical applications, with ownership of delivery and mission impact.
