Develop and implement a comprehensive A&D business development strategy aligned with Parametric Technology GmbH's overall growth objectives. Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the A&D industry, including OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and government agencies. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to understand A&D industry trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target A&D accounts. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure a cohesive go-to-market strategy and successful solution delivery. Lead the development of compelling proposals, presentations, and sales materials tailored to A&D client requirements. Negotiate and close complex deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and long-term customer satisfaction. Represent Parametric Technology GmbH at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads. Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts for the A&D sector. Provide strategic input to product development based on A&D market needs and customer feedback. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business development or strategic sales roles, with at least 5 years specifically within the Aerospace & Defense industry. Proven track record of consistently exceeding revenue targets and securing significant new business within the A&D sector. Deep understanding of A&D industry challenges, regulations (e.g., ITAR, export control), and technological trends (e.g., digital transformation, MBD, PLM). Strong network of contacts and relationships within A&D OEMs, suppliers, and government entities. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to both technical and business audiences. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to travel extensively as required for client meetings and industry events. Fluency in German and English required.
