Arbeitsbeschreibung - Business Development Manager (m/w/d)

As a Business Development Manager (m/f/d), you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You will lead business development initiatives, work closely with cross-functional teams, and build long-term client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development and excellent leadership skills.
  • Develop and execute business development strategies and campaigns to meet growth targets aligned with knowis AG’s vision and objectives
  • Identify and establish relationships with key clients (“C suite”) and lead negotiations to close high-value deals
  • Build and nurture partnerships with key stakeholders, clients, and industry influencers to drive business growth
  • Work closely with marketing and product development to develop compelling value propositions (content and materials) that support the business development process
  • Lead proposal kick-offs, storyboard and win theme sessions, overseeing proposals and other bid materials
  • Evangelize knowis AG through whitepapers, events, and webinars
  • Ensure pipeline quality and quantity in CRM and follow knowis AG’s sales process
  • Set KPIs, monitor performance, and report on the success of business development initiatives
  • Keep a close eye on trends relevant to target industry domains to identify suitable opportunities
  • You bring at least 3 years of experience in selling complex software products and services, with proven success in driving growth and revenue
  • You have an expert understanding of sales best practices and a client-focused outlook
  • You deeply understand the software domain, its key players, challenges, and opportunities
  • Proven track record of success in selling high-value complex deals to several verticals like IT, Retail, Digital Commerce, Media and Publishing, Travel, Banking, and Financial Services with an established network of clients and contacts
  • Having previous exposure to such services as application development and modernization/software engineering, DevOps and cloud migration services, or other similar digital transformation areas is highly preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams to success
  • You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English & German
