Business Development Manager, Robotics

Cartken is a startup at the forefront of autonomous robotics and last-mile delivery.  Our team has more than a century of combined experience solving some of the toughest challenges in autonomous vehicles, robotics, and operations at Google, Amazon, Apple, and Facebook.  We have robots operating around the world providing reliable and cost-effective delivery in malls, kitchens, hotels, universities, and city streets.  

The AI powering our robots makes them the safest and most reliable in the market today.Our robots are equipped with multiple sensors and cameras which allow them to stop on a dime in order to avoid collisions and choose routes which have the fewest hazards.

We’re seeking a driven Business Development Manager based in Germany (preferably Munich), to join our fast-paced startup. You’ll be managing and scaling relationships with both existing and potential clients especially in the Industrial sector. We’re looking for a visionary who can craft and deliver unique pitches for our autonomous robots, enabling us to establish and grow key relationships in the market.

More specifically, you’ll:

• Drive the sales of our autonomous delivery robots to automate various applicable use cases.

• Manage existing and new customers from various industries.

• Develop and support go-to-market strategies in collaboration with partners across different regions.

• Strategically expand the sales network to enhance market penetration.

• Plan and execute marketing activities to promote Cartken’s services.

• Represent Cartken at fairs, conferences, and industry events.

• Relevant experience and a proven track record in a sales/business development role, preferably within the industrial, hardware technology or robotic sector.  Sales within automotive, manufacturing, chemical and other industrial settings  is preferred.

• A network in the production industry sector with experience in production and logistics automation.

• Experience developing and implementing go-to-market strategies.

• Proven track record of expanding sales networks and enhancing market penetration. 

• A degree in business, engineering, or a related field.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

• Fluent  in written and spoken English.

• Learning agility, open-mindedness and low ego.

• Entrepreneurial mindset and obsession with getting things done rather than office politics.

• Passion about robotics and the application to real-world challenges.
