Business Development Professional - Machinery & Automation (all genders)

Your position

In this role, you will support the growth and development of our Machinery & Automation business across Europe. You will develop customer-specific technology solutions and support projects from initial customer discussions through commissioning and after-sales support. With a primary focus on Germany, France and the Benelux region, you will work closely with Sales, Technical Marketing, the Machinery departments and external partners to deliver practical, customer-focused solutions in machinery, automation and robotics. Combining hands-on expertise with the confidence to lead technical customer discussions, you will develop practical solutions and take ownership of implementation details to ensure high-quality outcomes for our customers. In this role, you’ll travel within Europe up to 50% of your working time.

Your tasks

• Supporting the development and growth of the Machinery & Automation business by identifying and advancing customer and market opportunities in close collaboration with local Sales teams across Europe.


• Acting as the technical interface between customers, internal stakeholders, and external partners, ensuring close cross-functional collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.


• Actively engaging in technical customer discussions, proposals, fact-findings, and contract finalization bringing in practical technical expertise.


• Coordinating and supporting machinery and automation projects from order intake through installation, commissioning, handover, and after-sales support to ensure high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

Your profile

• Apprenticeship or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Automation, or a related field. Alternatively, a technical vocational qualification with relevant specialization and experience.


• Experience in industrial technology, machinery, automation, technical sales, or project management; motivated recent graduates are also encouraged to apply 


• Hands-on, structured and solution-oriented mindset


• Willingness to work closely with customers on site and travel regularly within the assigned region 


• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and multiple stakeholders

Languages: English – fluent, German – fluent

Nice to have: French language skills are considered a strong asset, but candidates without are equally encouraged to apply
