Arbeitsbeschreibung - Category Manager (m/f/d)

  • You will assume strategic responsibility for procurement, in particular for indirect materials and services in the field of battery recycling.
  • You will ensure that all procurement processes run efficiently, cost-effectively and on time.
  • You will develop comprehensive product group strategies, conduct negotiations and implement framework agreements.
  • You will develop a sustainable and value-adding supplier base to ensure the company's long-term competitiveness.
  • You will carry out market analyses, accompany RFI and RFQ processes and develop targeted procurement strategies based on these.
  • You will review, analyze and optimize technical specifications in order to develop procurement alternatives.
  • You will prepare, conduct and follow up on supplier negotiations, contract drafting and supplier audits.
  • You will be responsible for the management of ad-hoc procurements and the strategic management of contract disruptions to ensure the continuity and resilience of the supply chain.
  • You are responsible for strategic and operational categories and for optimal procurement in terms of costs, quality and adherence to deadlines.
  • You have several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing, particularly in the area of indirect materials.
  • You have a degree in technical or commercial studies or a comparable qualification, such as a technical apprenticeship (master craftsman/technician), which provides you with a sound basis for strategic technical purchasing.
  • You have a deep knowledge of contract law and apply it confidently to ensure reliable and legally compliant procurement processes.
  • You use your strong technical understanding and analytical skills to precisely process complex requirements and technical specifications and develop solutions.
  • You are confident in using ERP programs and common MS Office applications.
  • You demonstrate initiative, assertiveness and strong communication skills.
  • You bring flexibility and adaptability to our dynamic environment.
  • You round off your profile with business fluent German and English.
