ABOUT THE ROLE
ProfessionLX specializes in professional services where we engage our employees to empower them to excel for our customers. We are currently seeking part-time Catholic Religious Education Coordinator candidates to join our team in support of the US Air Force in Spangdahlem Air Base. This position will provide Catholic religious education opportunities, oversee youth and adult programs, file sacramental records, and manage volunteer personnel. Successful candidates will possess 3 years experience using MS Office applications, be a practicing Catholic in good standing, and be able to pass a background check.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Catholic Coordinator of Religious Education will oversee and coordinate the Catholic Religious Education and sacramental formation program, including youth programming, Adult RE/OCIA, First Communion/First Reconciliation, Confirmation, and baptismal preparation. The Coordinator will work closely with the Catholic Chaplain to develop the annual program calendar and plan seasonal programs, retreats, community activities, and other events supporting Catholic faith life.
The Coordinator will recruit, train, and support volunteer catechists and assistants; coordinate required background checks and clearances; and maintain accurate attendance, training, volunteer, and sacramental records. Responsibilities also include managing program resources and supplies, supporting budget and purchase requests, preparing program communications and publicity materials, and ensuring classrooms and activities are properly prepared and effectively delivered.
The Coordinator will maintain regular communication with the Catholic Chaplain, participate in required meetings and briefings, represent the Catholic parish at community events as needed, and complete all applicable U.S. Air Force and Archdiocese for the Military Services training requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
You will be a Confirmed Catholic in good standing with the Church and either hold AMS Catechist certification or be able to obtain certification within six months of starting the role. You will also have completed, or be able to provide, the required Youth Protection Training and be able to successfully complete the required background checks.
You will bring at least three years of experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, together with strong written and verbal English communication skills. You will be comfortable working in a religiously pluralistic environment, and experience with design applications such as Canva would be an advantage.
