Bridgecom is actively seeking a highly motivated Firmware Architect to join our dynamic team in Dresden, Germany. Join us in developing cutting-edge Cellular Modem PHY for 5G NR and beyond, shaping the future of our cellular products.As a key member of our team, the Cellular Modem PHY Firmware Architect will:

Work on the architecture, design, and implementation of cellular modem L1 control Firmware and PHY algorithms on DSP architectures for 5G NR and future standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional design team members, including digital design professionals, system architects, and algorithm designers.
Influence HW/FW partitioning decisions, guiding the Firmware architecture to meet ambitious targets in performance, power efficiency, and cost.
Initiate and drive Firmware architecture explorations, including proof of concepts, to challenge conventions and push boundaries.
Design L1 Firmware interfaces that facilitate communication with the protocol stack, RF and signal processing hardware, and create Firmware design specifications.
Establish best practices, methodologies, and standardized processes.

The successful candidate will possess:

Proven expertise in wireless systems design and Firmware architecture.
Over 10 years of experience in Firmware design and development.
In-depth understanding of DSP architectures.
Proficiency in LTE/5G NR physical layer concepts and knowledge of relevant 3GPP specifications.
Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Ability to work independently while providing guidance and mentorship to theengineering team.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
