Arbeitsbeschreibung - Centrifugal Operator- 4 Positions K4

Job Purpose
To monitor and operate A/B/C Centrifuges and its auxiliary equipment to obtain A/B/C sugar and their respective molasses by following standard procedure.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Operation at centrifuge must be done following Technical Operating Practices and procedures to achieve standards set for the good performance.

Ensure proper centrifugal operation by following procedure and adhere to technical operating practices.
Ensure centrifugal machine and its associated equipment operate safely according to the safety policies and procedures.
Ensure proper feeding of A/B/C massecuite from the crystallizers up to the sugar drying process or B/C magma melter.
Ensure that all centrifugal stations A/B/C are smoothly working by making timely follow ups to ensure consistent operation and performance.
Report any abnormalities i.e. sound and/or any defect noticed to the Raw House Foreman to ensure good operating condition of the A/B/C centrifugal machines.
Ensure timely sampling of individual machine products in an attempt to troubleshoot.
Periodically inspect auxiliary equipment such as massecuite feed pump, molasses pumps, oil pump, wash water flowmeter, temperature gauge, pugmill stirrer, grasshopper conveyor, white belt conveyor, dryer feed conveyor and sugar dryer and report any defect identified.
Ensure logbooks are filled accordingly.
Ensure timely reporting of any incident at the section to supervisor.
Ensure a proper hand over at the end of shift.
Adhere so Illovo safety standards.

Job Requirements.

Technical Certificate in Fitter Mechanics/Electrical or equivalent from any recognized institution.
2 years of experience working in a sugar factory.

Terms of Service: The successful candidate will be engaged on a Permanent Contract.
