Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive leadership team and help steer the company through its next phase of growth. This role is pivotal in leading our fundraising efforts, establishing and maintaining rigorous governance practices, and ensuring sound financial stewardship across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in startup environments, has a track record in securing venture capital or strategic funding, and can operate at both strategic and hands-on levels.

1. Fundraising & Investor Relations

• Lead the planning and execution of equity and non-dilutive fundraising rounds (e.g., Series C and beyond).
• Build and manage relationships with current and potential investors, financial institutions, and strategic partners.
• Develop compelling investor materials including pitch decks, financial models, and due diligence documentation.
• Represent the company in investor meetings, board presentations, and financing negotiations.

2. Governance & Compliance

• Establish and maintain financial governance structures aligned with startup best practices.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and investor reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions including Germany, France, UK and the U.S. .
• Oversee corporate structure management, including subsidiaries and legal entities abroad.
• Coordinate external legal counsel, auditors, accountants and tax advisors including cross-border operations and compliance.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on financial risks, capital strategy, and corporate governance.
• Oversee corporate structure, cap table management, and stakeholder agreements.

3. Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Own the company’s financial accounting, closing, planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Review and adapt Finance function, processes, systems, tools and external partner scope in line with business needs and growth.
• Deliver monthly reporting and yearly (audited) financial statements as required for each legal entity.
• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
• Drive operational efficiency and cost control initiatives.
• Manage cash flow to support business objectives and maintain runway visibility.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with the CEO, CTO, and executive team on company strategy, commercial growth, and operational scale-up.
• Lead the finance team and collaborate closely with legal, HR, and operations team in multi-country context.     
• Support the development of business cases, pricing strategies, and go-to-market planning in international markets.

• Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in a startup or scale-up environment.
• Successful track record in leading VC fundraising rounds (Series A, B, C, etc.).
• Strong understanding of startup governance, legal structures, and investor relations.
• Expertise in financial modeling, due diligence, and capital planning.
• Experience in managing and overseeing legal entities in France, UK and U.S. is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with healthcare, diagnostics, or life sciences sectors is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (English fluency essential).
