Chief of Staff -ALM -Senior Director

This role blends business strategy, organizational execution, operational governance, and cross-functional leadership. The successful candidate will drive clarity, alignment, and execution across the ALM organization, ensuring that strategy, planning, metrics, leadership activities, and cross-segment coordination operate as a unified system.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nStrategic Planning \u0026 Execution Leadership\n\n\u00b7 Lead the creation and maintenance of ALM strategy, including FY initiatives, key results, and long-term strategic priorities.\n\n\u00b7 Own ALM business planning across the Segment Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan (AOP) inputs, and multiyear strategic frameworks.\n\n\u00b7 Ensure alignment between strategy, financial assumptions, product plans, and execution priorities.\n\n\u00b7 Act as the integrator between ALM strategy and PTC corporate/segment planning cycles, including kickoffs, reviews, and leadership checkpoints.\n\n\u00b7 Drive follow-through on strategic decisions, ensuring organizational readiness, clear workstreams, and execution discipline.\n\nChief of Staff to the General Manager\n\n\u00b7 Operate as the General Manager\u2019s primary partner for prioritization, communication, leadership coordination, and decision preparation.\n\n\u00b7 Manage leadership meeting cadences, agenda strategy, pre-read quality, and decision-making hygiene.\n\n\u00b7 Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, R\u0026D, GTM, Services, Finance, and Operations for ALM priorities.\n\n\u00b7 Prepare executive-level content including OKR narratives, progress updates, risk escalations, town hall storylines, and strategic messaging.\n\nOrganizational Governance \u0026 Operating Rhythm\n\n\u00b7 Own the ALM leadership governance model, including planning cadences, initiative reviews, KPI cycles, and strategic checkpoints.\n\n\u00b7 Maintain transparency and alignment across all ALM initiatives, ensuring consistency in health logic, dependencies, and reporting standards.\n\n\u00b7 Serve as the primary coordinator for cross-segment product planning and Product Ops alignment to ensure ALM visibility, constraints, and dependencies are represented.\n\nPeople, Organization, and Operational Health\n\n\u00b7 Serve as point leader for organizational health, partnering with HR to integrate people insights into leadership decision-making.\n\n\u00b7 Drive leadership transparency around talent, organizational bottlenecks, and operational risks.\n\n\u00b7 Facilitate the ALM People \u0026 Organizational Health forum and ensure data-driven operational clarity.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n\u00b7 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, product strategy, management consulting, or Chief of Staff\u2013style roles.\n\n\u00b7 Proven experience driving large-scale planning, strategic alignment, or transformation programs.\n\n\u00b7 Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders.\n\n\u00b7 Deep analytical skills and comfort with financial modeling, KPIs, and operational health metrics.\n\n\u00b7 Exceptional communication, narrative building, and leadership facilitation skills.\n\n\u00b7 Experience working in cross-functional environments across engineering, product, services, and GTM.\n\nSuccess Criteria\n\n\u00b7 Strategy and execution operate as a coherent, aligned, data-driven system.\n\n\u00b7 Leadership decisions are consistently well-prepared and followed through.\n\n\u00b7 Operating rhythms run smoothly with strong transparency.\n\n\u00b7 GM\u2019s focus is amplified through effective prioritization and communication.\n\n\u00b7 Increased cross-team collaboration and reduced organizational friction.\n\n\u00b7 Clear, quantified long-term growth strategy for ALM.\n\nLife at PTC is about more than working with today\u2019s most cutting-edge technologies to transform the physical world.
