build for those who build 🏭
opus builds the platform to deploy AI agents across industrial supply chain operations. Our mission is to strengthen Europe's industrial backbone by making operational processes future-proof. The agents automate the purchase order lifecycle end to end, giving companies control over their single largest cost driver. They run on the supply chain context graph: a real-time intelligence layer built from ERP data and the knowledge that today only lives in inboxes and people's heads. That graph is where the value sits, and it carries agent use cases far beyond procurement. Leading companies already trust opus AI agents and are transforming their processes into a competitive advantage with us.
🚀 we are in production with enterprise customers – scaling rapidly and shipping new features as we speak.
💰 we secured $6M in funding from Project A, Speedinvest, Sequoia Scouts and industry veterans like Marcell Vollmer (former Chief Digital Officer & Chief Procurement Officer of SAP).
👥 we are a team of entrepreneurs, industry experts, and engineers driven by a joint ambition – to safeguard the economic foundation of Europe for future generations.
as Chief of Staff / Founders Asssociate, you're in the leadership orbit. you work side by side with Beni (CEO) to turn high-level vision into things that actually happen. growth, hiring, finance, ops, expansion, you operate at the intersection of all of it. the problems that land on your desk are the most important ones nobody else can own yet, so you own them. one week it's sharpening our go-to-market approach, the next it's building the engine behind a Series A fundraise. if it's ambiguous, high-stakes and needs to move fast, it's yours. and you don't wait to be told which problem to pick up. think of this as a founder residency: you'll see how a category-defining AI company gets built from the inside, and shape it while you do.
Tasks
🎯 The impact you will have
- founder force multiplier. when the founders aren't in the room, you are. you carry the context, make the call, keep things moving. no waiting, no bottlenecks.
- the operating system. fast companies don't stay fast by accident. you build the cadences, processes and communication loops that let us scale without losing what makes us dangerous. and you build them AI-native by default: if a workflow can be automated, you find the way.
- hiring engine. the next 20 hires define the long-term trajectory of the company. you build the plan, run the process, and make sure we bring in the people who raise the bar. you close them yourself when it matters.
- finances and KPIs. reporting, budgeting, trajectory. the founders and the board see a clear picture at all times, because you built it. no fog, no guesswork.
- strategic projects. new market entry, pricing architecture, agent deployment support, partnership structures. the ambiguous, high-stakes work that doesn't have an owner yet. you take it from zero to done, fast.
- fundraising & investor relations. you own the process. data rooms, narratives, investor updates – when the next round happens, you've already built the engine.
Requirements
⭐️ What makes you a great fit
- 2+ years in high-intensity environments. top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, a VC-backed startup that moved fast, or a founder who built something real. you've seen what excellent looks like under pressure.
- ruthlessly structured. you bring order to chaos, not by slowing things down but by building systems that make speed sustainable. nothing falls through the cracks on your watch.
- strategy meets spreadsheet. you can zoom out to market positioning in the morning and grind through a financial model in the afternoon. P&L, SaaS metrics, unit economics: you speak the language deeply, not at a surface level.
- sharp communicator. you turn complex AI concepts and messy financial data into narratives that land, whether it's a board deck, an investor update, or a team all-hands. you write clearly and think in memos.
- high agency. you don't wait for a playbook, you write it. ambiguity doesn't paralyze you, it's where you do your best work. when something needs to happen and no one owns it, you pick it up.
- AI-native by default. you use AI tools daily in how you work, and you have a point of view on how a category-defining AI company should operate internally.
- fluent in English and German (C1+). Berlin-based role. investor conversations one hour, industrial enterprise customer calls the next.
