Are you ready to lead critical programmes in some of the world’s largest companies? Proxima, part the leading global strategy consultancy Bain & Company, is a well-established management consultancy specialising in procurement and supply chain. We drive purposeful and profitable change in some of the most well-known businesses on the planet focused on positively impacting business performance through cost and capability transformation, and supply chain sustainability.

As one of the most exciting specialist propositions in our market, we are seeing significant growth and are looking for exceptional senior consultants who can lead our client engagements. You will have a depth of expertise in managing consulting programmes and be ready to make an impact on your client and Proxima.

Our teams are based in London, Leeds, Cardiff, Chicago, and Dusseldorf. Hybrid working is the norm, with the expectation that you will spend some time working collaboratively on location with your team and your clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end management of complex programmes that are C-Suite visible due to their direct impact on business performance
  • Leadership and development of a team of specialists to ensure successful delivery of outcomes, client satisfaction, learning and team engagement
  • Contribution to our growth path through driving and or supporting growth initiatives both in your client and in new client pursuits
  • Act as a senior leader in Proxima, supporting key internal initiatives, challenging the business to evolve and improve whilst acting as a coach and mentor to our team
  • Take accountability for a combination of the following in allocated clients:
  • Obligations to the client (in terms of deliverables)
  • Obligations to Proxima (P&L)
  • Client revenue and future order book
  • Increasing Proxima’s brand and reputation in the marketplace through personal and Proxima marketing initiatives

Your Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of managing consulting teams, working hand in hand with clients on programmes with senior level visibility
  • A deep understanding of procurement and/or supply chain, ideally across sectors and categories
  • Exceptional consulting skills and the ability to build trusted relationships fast with your stakeholders and their senior management
  • High intellectual capability and flexibility, effective problem-solving skills, an ability to absorb and distil information, and make impactful recommendations
  • A track record of positively contributing towards business culture and an ability to motive and develop the teams around you
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, with strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and a desire for quality at all times
  • An ability to tell engaging stories through high-quality PowerPoint and Word, supported by impactful analytical skills
