Commercial HVAC Helper

Due to company growth, we are currently seeking a Commercial HVAC Helper. The Commercial HVAC Helper will be assisting the service technicians with diagnosing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment, while providing our customers with a high-quality experience.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with cleaning, adjusting and repairing Commercial HVAC systems and perform warranty services
• Assisting with troubleshooting defective Commercial HVAC systems and equipment to make diagnoses
• Assisting with performing preventative maintenance by cleaning reheat coils and air handling units and monitoring and calibrating air handling units
• Assisting with improving air quality by cleaning ducts to optimize efficiency.
• Assisting with fixing, replacing, and adjusting vents and ductwork
• Assisting with ensuring the condensation drain line is free of debris and draining properly
• Assisting with performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Keep daily logs and records of maintenance functions.
• Maintain service truck
• Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with Health and Safety Act

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
• 1+ years of Commercial HVAC experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able and willing to take and pass a drug screen and background check
• Must be willing to work a rotating on-call schedule
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
• Experience in reading schematics and work plans preferred 
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice
• Physically agile, dexterous, and able to work in confined spaces
