YOUR IMPACT
We’re looking for a sharp, driven, and creative communicator to join our growing comms and brand team. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you will work on initiatives that shape how the world sees Proxima Fusion from public relations and content development, to brand storytelling, internal communications, events and political communications. You’re someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and doesn’t wait for a brief to start thinking. You love writing and crafting narratives that make complex science and deep-tech topics accessible and compelling, and you have your finger on the pulse of relevant political and media conversations. You care deeply about brand, connection and impact, and are eager to harness automation and smart AI tools to work more creatively and efficiently. This is a unique opportunity to work at the frontier of science, technology, and policy, and to help build the voice of a company tackling one of the biggest challenges of our time: delivering safe, clean and abundant energy to the world.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
-Translate complex technical and scientific topics into clear, engaging stories
-Develop and manage high quality content in various formats (video, editorial etc) for our multi-channel communications efforts - including press releases, blog posts, social media, executive comms, internal updates, educational materials, newsletters, investor materials, and more
-Take initiative on content ideas and proactively pitch story angles, campaigns, new tactics or improvements so we can reach our audiences most effectively
-Collaborate closely with our Brand and Content Lead and our public policy team to deliver integrated communications campaigns across media, digital, events and public affairs.
-Support media relations and engagements with journalists as well as event and speaking opportunities for our executives
-Help build and protect the brand voice of Proxima Fusion across all touchpoints
-Manage projects and external partners effectively
WHO YOU ARE
-You have several years of experience in delivering media and communications campaigns for a startup, tech company, or agency.
-You are a strong writer and visual thinker with a keen eye for narrative and storytelling.
-You are deeply curious about science, energy, and deeptech - you don’t need to be a physicist, but you are eager to learn. Bonus points if you have some cool examples already.
-You are comfortable working across multiple content formats and can juggle several projects with tight deadlines in parallel. Are you data-driven? Then even better!
-You are already familiar with the latest AI tools and platforms that enhance workflows and can amplify our team’s capacity.
-You are highly collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented.
-You thrive in a fast-moving, cross-functional and international environment. English is our official language and fluency required, but German is a must for this role.
-You have a portfolio of work and successes that you are keen to show off and expand.
