Consultancy Specialist

PROGNOST Systems GmbH is offering a position as

Consultancy Specialist for Machine Diagnostics in Technical Support (m/f/d) at our headquarters in Rheine.

As a Consultancy Specialist, you will advise customers on all aspects of machine protection and condition monitoring, particularly for piston compressors and gearboxes. Based on measurement and operating data, you will create well-founded diagnoses and derive clear, actionable recommendations. You will identify symptoms and trends at an early stage that indicate potential machine damage, helping to prevent downtime and enabling customers to operate their equipment safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret measurement data and derive maintenance recommendations for monitored machines


• Implement customer-specific system configurations


• Provide technical advice on complex issues


• Prepare reports and presentations


• Conduct customer training sessions, partly on-site


• Provide on-call and hotline support

Your profile

• Solid technical background: degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field


• Experience with power and process machinery, as well as their gearboxes, is desirable


• Basic IT skills for setting up and efficiently using your digital work environment


• Ideally, experience in measurement technology and signal analysis


• Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken


• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 10–20% of working time), offering opportunities to expand your professional network and gain intercultural experience


• An ISO 18436-2 CAT certification is an advantage, but not required
