Consultant Energieoptimierung für E-Bus-Depots (m/w/d) - Hybrid

Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH supports bus operators in transitioning to electric and hydrogen buses and in building and optimizing charging infrastructure at bus depots. To best support our customers through this transformation, we are looking for a Consultant for Energy Optimization of E-Bus Depots (f/m/x) to join us as soon as possible.

Your tasks and responsibilities include:

• You create simulations to analyze energy flows in e-bus depots – especially in regard to charging processes, photovoltaic systems, stationary battery storage, and other components.

• You analyze different electrification and charging strategies for electric and hydrogen buses, compare their impact on energy consumption, infrastructure needs, and operational costs, and identify optimization potential.

• Based on your simulation results, you advise our customers and help them make informed decisions in terms of energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and depot operations.

• You actively support the sales team with well-founded analyses and prepare decision-making documents and presentations for customer meetings.

• You continuously develop our simulation models and contribute your own ideas to improve the quality and accuracy of our consulting services.

• You have a degree or vocational training in engineering, computer science, or business.

• Ideally, you already have some professional experience in the field of energy technology, simulation, or consulting.

• You possess strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset.

• You are highly interested in the electrification of the bus sector (public transport and coaches) and want to actively help shape this transformation.

• You have programming skills in Python or are willing to learn Python and enjoy working with models and simulations.

• You present yourself confidently and in a friendly manner to customers and have a keen sense of their needs.

• You are fluent in German and English – additional languages are a plus.

• You are willing to travel occasionally.
