At Endress+Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our more than 18,000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

With innovative solutions, our global IT team, Endress+Hauser InfoServe, ensures that our corporate group can rely on seamlessly functioning IT. To strengthen our Application Lifecycle Management team, we are looking for a Content Management System (CMS) Architect who is passionate about designing future-ready platforms and driving the evolution of our global digital ecosystem. In this role, you will shape the technological foundation of our content management landscape and contribute to how digital content is delivered across websites, customer portals, and future digital touchpoints worldwide.

The position can be based in Freiburg im Breisgau or Weil am Rhein.

What is the role about?

As a CMS Architect, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Endress+Hauser's global digital experience landscape. You will define and evolve the architecture of our CMS platform, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, and ready to support future business needs.

Working closely with international stakeholders and external partners, you will drive architectural decisions, establish governance standards, and help unlock new opportunities through modern technologies, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Specifically, you can expect the following tasks:

  • Shape and continuously evolve Endress+Hauser's global CMS architecture, ensuring scalability, flexibility, and long-term sustainability

  • Design content models, APIs, and integration concepts that seamlessly connect the CMS with platforms such as Digital Asset Management (DAM), search, analytics, and e-commerce solutions

  • Define architectural standards, governance frameworks, and best practices that ensure security, compliance, performance, and reliability across the digital experience landscape

  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into sustainable digital platform solutions

  • Provide architectural leadership for CMS-related initiatives and support development teams in implementing modern, cloud-based solutions

  • Collaborate with external partners and vendors while promoting maintainability, knowledge transfer, and reduced dependency on third parties

  • Drive innovation by evaluating and introducing emerging technologies, including composable architectures, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of Endress+Hauser's global digital ecosystem and customer-facing digital experiences

What do we expect from you?

  • Several years of experience in CMS architecture and the design of modern digital platforms, ideally in headless, composable, multi-site, and multi-language environments

  • Strong expertise in system architecture, content modelling, API design, and integration patterns

  • Experience with cloud-native platforms, scalability concepts, performance optimization, and content delivery networks (CDNs)

  • Good understanding of security, governance, authorization models, compliance requirements, and data protection standards

  • Ability to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strategic and analytical mindset combined with a passion for driving innovation and building future-proof digital platforms

  • Good German and English language skills

What can you expect from us?

  • We are a family-owned, highly committed company with a sustainable vision

  • We promote lifelong learning with versatile training and further education opportunities, internal knowledge transfer and e-learning

  • We prioritize Work-Life Balance, offering flexible working hours and remote work opportunities to support our employees in maintaining a healthy balance

  • We provide support with sustainable mobility solutions such as public transport to facilitate easy commuting for our employees

  • We ensure our employees work in state-of-the-art facilities equipped with ergonomic workstations to enhance productivity and comfort

  • We prioritize employee well-being by offering a comprehensive company pension scheme and access to health offers that support overall wellness
