Do you want to play a role in global commerce?

Prologis is looking for a Coordinator, Development Management, Germany based in our Düsseldorf office.

In this central departmental role, you will support a regional team of 5 Development Managers with managing corporate processes and procedures on multiple real estate development, and construction projects in Germany.  This role is critical to ensure that each project follows company standards, and the contract administration is efficient. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment, where they will balance multiple priorities and respond to internal and external customer needs.  This role will be at the center of the team’s business and project operations, supporting projects and deliverables. 

This position will anticipate the needs of the team and help them stay focused on their objectives by driving all global and European initiatives, administer workshops, prepare presentations, reporting and other project functions.

You will be overseeing budgets and deadlines and support on overall coordination of complex projects. You will also support the team in the pre-construction phase by being fully responsible for managing feasibility studies, smaller partial projects and pursuits.

Overall your focus will be 1/3 on various administrative tasks, 1/3 on global and EU development standards and 1/3 on feasibility studies and pursuits.

This candidate must have the ability to get along with all levels of management and partners to ensure the success of each project from start to completion including securing the business.

You will work in close collaboration with our Capital Deployment, Investment Services and Legal teams to fully understand the broad scope of the real estate business. You will receive high quality mentoring in this role to help you grow into a Prologis Real Estate expert. This role reports to the Head of Development Management Germany.

What’s needed in order to do that.

  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to meet expectations and provide support
  • Oversee project costs and budgets to actual based on contracted cost.
  • Prepare contracts and change orders.
  • Responsible for regular reporting on all DM projects to internal stakeholders
  • Responsibility for feasibility studies and pursuits
  • Support on preparation of IC
  • Support Prologis Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives
  • Organize and prepare Workshops for Process Improvements and improve collaboration between the teams
  • Drive implementation of global and EU initiatives on sustainability and innovation
  • Responsible for smaller pre-construction projects within Development Management
  • Review and enter all relevant project information and invoices into PeopleSoft. Reconcile contract upon project completion.
  • Assist contractors with the prequalification process and onboard new suppliers.
  • Review and maintain contractor insurance files and solicit updates as required before payment.
  • Ensure costs are coded correctly on invoices and are in line with the contract budget allocation.
  • Communicate with contractors and consultants to understand Prologis cost coding and process requirements in coordinating with the Development Managers.
  • Prepare monthly expense reports and assist with travel arrangements for Head of Development Management Germany.
  • Support the overall teams’ project management, critical meeting schedules, jurisdictional deliverables, contracts, etc.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 years of proven experience in a Real Estate, Property Management, Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related firm (preferable in Logistics)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, manage different tasks with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Self-driven, pro-active personality
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with customers, peers, management, contractors, and vendors.
  • Excellent English written and spoken
