Job Description
IN SHORT
Single Quantum is the global leader in Superconducting Nanowire Single Photon Detectors (SNSPD), with applications in photonic quantum technology, time resolved microscopy and deep space optical communication. The company is continuously shifting the technological edge and strives to make the world’s fastest and most sensitive light detectors. To expand its R&D capabilities, Single Quantum is looking for a Cryogenic Electronics Designer, based in Stuttgart, Germany, to conceive low noise analog RF electronics for tomorrow’s ultra sensitive light detectors.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As Cryo Electronics Designer, you will research and develop novel analog and mixed signal cryogenic electronics circuits. This includes the conceptual circuit design, simulation, PCB design and testing at low temperature. Working closely together with an expert team at Single Quantum and with leading research groups in the field, you will enable scalable cryogenic readout circuits for the next generation of our superconducting nanowire single photon detectors.
Your main tasks include:
- Designing the world’s fastest and lowest noise RF analog and mixed signal cryo electronics circuit;
- Simulating, prototyping and testing your circuits, continuously expanding your knowledge;
- Integrating your electronics in a turn key cryo system;
- All while collaborating with the world’s most prestigious research groups in the field.
