Our business is rapidly expanding, and we require experienced Customer Solutions Engineers to work closely with our Business Development/Sales teams to help us in the pursuit, qualification and capture of new business. We require exceptional individuals who desire to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment. Individuals must be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to work across cross functional teams and demonstrate leadership and organizational capabilities, with a high level of technical knowledge of laser communication networks, satellite communications, networking, aerospace environments, etc. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround, Team-based work environment and have the ability to support multiple pursuits, across various customers.

Based in Gilching, Germany, we are expanding our team to focus on key strategic opportunities and to help our go to market objectives globally. One of our key markets is the space/satellite market represented by constellations of various sizes, in LEO, MEO and GEO orbits for both telecommunications and earth observations applications. Demand in upcoming years, in both commercial and government market verticals, requires onboarding of an experienced Customer Solutions Engineering professional with strong Aerospace Communications background.

Responsibilities:
  • Primary technical interface supporting sales and business development teams that helps communicates Mynaric product fit to customer needs
  • Technical lead in responding to customer technical requirements (compliance matrices etc.) through internal coordination with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Engineering and other organizations
  • Support Sales/BD and Proposal management teams in developing the technical content for proposals that translates Mynaric Product specifications to customer requirements
  • Develop technical whitepapers that reflect the potential uses of Mynaric products across various solutions through collaboration with Product managers and Advanced Engineering departments
  • Work with Sales and BD to solicit, capture and document customer/market requirements that provide Product Managers with the ability to develop Product Level requirements
  • Ability to use inhouse tools to generate Link Budgets from customer defined parameters

What you bring with you
  • Minimum 5 years (Prefer 10+) years of direct experience in Sales Engineering or equivalent related to technology products and solutions for commercial, civil and defense customers and agencies in the broader aerospace and satellite communications industries
  • B.S. and preferably M.S. in one of the following engineering degrees: 
    1. Aerospace Engineering
    2. Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
    3. Computer Sciences
    4. Electrical Engineering
    5. Optics or Laser Physics
  • Experience in aerospace/satellite communications industry as a proposal professional for at least 10 years with diversity of experience in large corporate aerospace or technology-driven organizations as well as in small business environments and cultures
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, verbal and listening skills. Ability to translate technical language to layman terms
  • Concept-to-launch experience with one or more satellite or space or aviation programs/missions
  • Experience with aerospace environments other than traditional, large prime contractors and agencies
