CWMD Analyst

Position Title: CWMD Analyst

Position Overview:

S2Technologies is seeking a CWMD Analyst to support the Department of the Air Force's Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), CBRN Defense, and Biodefense mission areas. In this role, you will analyze emerging CBRN threats, support policy and strategy development, assess operational and technical requirements, and help integrate CWMD capabilities across Air Force and Joint operations. This position is ideal for a skilled analyst with experience in CWMD, biodefense, CBRN readiness, or national security operations who enjoys solving complex problems and supporting mission‑critical decision making.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on CWMD, CBRN, and Biodefense threats to support Air Force missions and Nuclear Command, Control and Communication (NC3) Division. • Help develop policies, guidance, CONOPS, and TTPs for CWMD and CBRN operations. • Conduct operational and survivability analyses supporting CBRN survivability assessments, CWMD integration into program and budget processes, and readiness reporting. • Support requirements development and integration of CWMD and CBRN considerations into Air Force and Joint plans. • Prepare reports, briefs, and decision materials for senior leaders. • Support CWMD governance forums, meetings, and action item tracking. • Conduct or support advanced CBRN modeling & simulation hazard modeling, technical assessments, and operational analysis. • Participate in CWMD/CBRN exercises, workshops, and interagency or Joint meetings.


• Support MAJCOM, NAF, and overseas units (e.g., USAFEAFAFRICA) as needed with CWMD subject matter expertise.


• Assist in the development of education and training materials, including briefings, coursework, and decision-support products.


• Coordinate with Joint Staff, OSD, interagency organizations, MAJCOMs, labs, and academic institutions to ensure alignment of CWMD equities and optimize information flow across the enterprise.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting CWMD, CBRN Defense, biodefense, or related defense or national security missions. • Experience with CBRN modeling & simulation tools (HPAC, JEM, VLSTRACK, hazard prediction systems) preferred.


• Familiarity with operational planning and integration of CWMD considerations into OPLANs, CONOPS, TTPs, and force readiness assessments preferred.

Required Security Clearance:

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.

Required Certification(s):

• None required


• CBRN Defense, HAZMAT, or relevant technical certifications beneficial.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Public Health, National Security, Emergency Management, or a related discipline is required. • Advanced degree in scientific, technical analysis, modeling‑focused roles, or related specialty preferred.
