Cybersecurity Architect

NexyaHR is conducting an exclusive search on behalf of an international organization seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join its global Cybersecurity function in Munich.

This strategic position is responsible for designing and governing enterprise security architectures that protect cloud platforms, applications, infrastructure and digital assets across complex international environments.

Working closely with Enterprise Architects, Cloud Engineers, Infrastructure teams and senior technology leaders, you will define security strategies that enable business growth while ensuring resilience, compliance and operational excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to influence cybersecurity strategy at an enterprise level while working with modern cloud technologies and large-scale digital transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-wide cybersecurity architectures aligned with business and technology strategies.


• Define security standards, reference architectures and technical governance.


• Develop secure cloud architectures across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.


• Lead architecture reviews for cloud migrations, digital transformation initiatives and enterprise applications.


• Implement Zero Trust security models across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.


• Design Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) architectures.


• Conduct threat modelling, security risk assessments and architecture reviews.


• Collaborate with Engineering, Infrastructure and DevOps teams to integrate security by design.


• Support regulatory compliance including ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, GDPR and industry-specific frameworks.


• Define security roadmaps and technology standards.


• Evaluate emerging cybersecurity technologies and recommend strategic improvements.


• Provide technical leadership during security incidents and remediation programmes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering or Security Architecture.


• Proven experience designing enterprise security architectures within complex international environments.


• Strong expertise in cloud security across AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.


• Experience implementing Zero Trust architectures.


• Strong knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Single Sign-On (SSO) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).


• Experience securing enterprise applications, networks and cloud-native platforms.


• Strong understanding of security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST and CIS Controls.


• Experience with Security Operations, SIEM and SOAR platforms.


• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.


• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Mandatory Languages

• German — C1 or C2 level (mandatory)


• English — C2 level (mandatory)
