We are seeking a Development Engineer for Textiles in Coated Products (m/f/diverse) to join our innovative team in Hannover, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving textiles which form the backing for our high quality artificial leathers. You combine profound knowledge about textiles with a creative and open mind and a systematic workstyle. 

Job Description

• Develop and optimize textile solutions to meet performance requirements and cost-efficiency targets
• Drive innovation in sustainable textile materials, focusing on eco-friendly solutions and long-term viability
• Manage and enhance the raw material portfolio through close collaboration with suppliers and coordination across international production sites
• Conduct testing and validation of textile properties through laboratory experiments and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and market implementation
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with technology providers to foster joint development initiatives and long-term cooperation

• Master’s degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline
• Experience in textile engineering or related field, with a focus on textiles
• In-depth knowledge of textile construction, manufacturing processes, and material properties
• Experience with technical textiles and usage in textile coated products preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlines
• Effective communication skills in both English and German, written and verbal
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel occasionally for project-related purposes
