To further develop and grow this ambition we are looking for a Digital Solutions Specialist (R&D) - BASF | Nunhems - Haelen/Nunhem.
Your role
As a Digital Solutions Specialist, you help researchers, breeders, and product development teams get the most out of the digital tools and applications they use every day. You support users in solving application-related challenges, provide guidance and training, and identify opportunities to improve digital workflows across the organization.
You are the link between end users and development teams. By understanding business needs and translating them into practical solutions, you help improve the user experience and contribute to the continuous development of digital applications within R&D.
Because you work with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions, strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential. You know how to navigate different perspectives, build trust, and work effectively in a multicultural environment.
What will you do?
Support an international user community in the daily use of R&D applications and digital workflows.
Investigate and resolve application-related issues and coordinate solutions with development teams.
Deliver user training and onboarding sessions.
Create and maintain user guides, knowledge articles, and documentation.
Gather feedback from users and translate business needs into system improvements.
Identify digital bottlenecks and opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.
Collaborate with stakeholders across breeding, product development, and technology teams worldwide.
What do you bring?
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Biosciences, or a related field.
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps and/or knowledge of database applications in a bioscience environment is considered a plus. Experience within plant breeding is an advantage, but not required.
Experience working with digital tools, business applications, or application support. (preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English. One or more of the following languages is a plus: Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Turkish.
A customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in helping others succeed.
The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
What do we offer?
32–38 hours per week (38 hours preferred).
Gross monthly salary between €3,500 and €4,200 based on full-time employment and depending on knowledge and experience.
