Director Business Development (m/w/d)

About the Role
We are looking for a Director Business Development (m/f/d) to lead and drive our global commercial strategy in a dynamic and fast-growing MedTech environment.
In this role, you will take ownership of identifying and unlocking new growth opportunities across markets and partnerships.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct exposure to senior management and the opportunity to actively shape the future of our organization and its contribution to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a growth-focused business development strategy to drive active market penetration and revenue expansion
Own and build a strong sales pipeline, driving new customer acquisition and sustainable revenue growth
Identify and unlock new markets, customer segments, and revenue channels to accelerate business growth
Define and optimize go-to-market approaches with a clear focus on lead generation, conversion, and customer retention
Establish and expand strategic partnerships and commercial channels to increase market reach and access
Drive commercial performance through clear KPI management, pipeline tracking, and disciplined sales execution
Leverage customer and market insights to prioritize opportunities, optimize sales strategies, and improve conversion rates
Maintain close alignment with the CEO through transparent updates on operational performance, market dynamics, and strategic risks or opportunities relevant to executive leadership and the board.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field
Proven experience (10+ years) in business development, commercial strategy, or strategic partnerships, ideally within MedTech, diagnostics, EMS or life sciences
Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth, market expansion, or successful strategic partnerships
Deep understanding of customer needs in diagnostics, medical or life sciences, and a track record of translating insights into successful commercial strategies.
Strong business acumen and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent track record in managing growth business in complex and competitive markets
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Fluent in English and German
