About your teams
MOIA has many great teams and is organized in business units that are themselves composed of domains. As a Director of Engineering, you will take technical leadership responsibility for one domain in the MaaS Unit, comprising four to six teams. The MaaS Unit focuses on providing mobility as a service (e.g. ridepooling) either via direct API integration or using our native world-class deeply-integrated whitelabel app.
You will pair with the Product- and, where applicable, Design-Directors to support the teams in finding the right balance between technical excellence, maintaining a high customer focus and reliably delivering product increments.
This Director of Engineering role includes both technical leadership and people management responsibilities. Besides the work inside your domain and your unit, you will be a part of the overarching technical leadership team with all the engineering Directors, Chapter Leads, Technical Leads, Staff Engineers, and the C-Level.
The engineering teams use modern languages in combination with cloud services and are responsible for the discovery of what product increment to deliver next, as well as the full software lifecycle including testing and operating the services (“you build it, you run it”).
