We are currently recruiting for an experienced Draughtsman to join an established and successful business based in Hereford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical drawing skills who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.
 
The Role
As a Draughtsman, you will be responsible for managing drawings across a variety of live contracts, ensuring the correct drawings are produced, allocated and issued to meet customer and production requirements.

Working closely with customers, the design team and production, you will play an important role in ensuring projects run smoothly from drawing through to manufacture.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple contracts and ensure the correct drawings are assigned to each project.
Liaise directly with customers to agree general arrangements and resolve any drawing-related queries.
Produce and issue accurate drawings to the production team for manufacture.
Work closely with the design team on drawing-related matters.
Identify and resolve any issues that could affect production or project delivery.
Ensure all drawings meet company quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, quality and attention to detail.
Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and ensure appropriate standards are maintained.
Support the Senior Draughtsman and wider department with additional duties when required.
Take an active approach to learning, development and continuous improvement.About You
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within a Draughtsman, Technical Drawing or Design environment and be confident managing multiple projects at the same time.

You will need to be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and be comfortable communicating with both customers and internal teams. The ability to identify and resolve problems quickly, while maintaining a high standard of work, is essential.
