Drivetrain and Wheels Engineer (all genders)

You face challenges like

• designing and developing Drivetrain and Wheels, including wheel trim, inserts, center caps and other components from initial concept to production

• establishing requirements for components based on desired vehicle attributes

• completing component DFMEAs and DVPs and contributing to system failure mode analyses

• working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers, using creativity and teamwork to design with excellence at the system and component levels

• coordinating virtual engineering and physical validation testing activities for your designs

• managing multiple complex projects in a demanding environment

• working closely with the design studio, CAE department and validation team

You inspire us by

• holding a bachelor’s degree in a related field

• bringing automotive industry experience, primarily focused on the design of wheels, wheel inserts and wheel trim

• personally designing components from concept to production

• demonstrating proven 3D CAD skills

• applying hands-on practical experience in prototype assembly

• contributing expertise in technology, system and supplier selection.

• leading projects and mentoring team members

• managing design release engineering, including engineering change management and project execution

• determining required tolerances using GD&T
