Your tasks
You will be responsible for the design, validation, and release of the wiring harnesses under their purview with focus on coax cables and EDS components such as grommets, connectors, terminals, retainers and so on. Additionally, the EDS Lead Engineer is tasked with implementing design improvements to enhance quality and optimize costs and weight.
You will
- comply with project cost, weight, quality, and timing targets,
- create, comply, and enhance DFMA and all robustness disciplines,
- lead the CAD team to achieve the routing, retention, and packaging requirements,
- keep the BOM consistency between CAD, Windchill and PREEvision,
- plan and execute the DVP as well as implement the design improvements,
- solve issues including cross-functional interfaces,
- think outside of the box to creatively remove daily roadblocks,
- measure the design maturity and report risks in a meaningful timing,
- plan and execute prototyping support and reworking
