Engineering & Maintenance Excellence (EMEX) Lead Wuppertal (m/f/d) 

As the Engineering & Maintenance Excellence (EMEX) Lead in Wuppertal, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical availability and reliability of all assets and utilities at the Supply Center Elberfeld and Biological Development. You will be responsible for developing and implementing local IT strategies with a strong focus on digitalization. Your leadership will drive the development and training of technical functions, as well as the creation and monitoring of mid- to long-term maintenance strategies in a GMP environment. You will also lead continuous improvement initiatives in plant and process safety, HSE, and manage investment planning and execution, ensuring the utilization of global technical know-how as an active member of the international PH PS EMEX Management team.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the technical availability and reliability of all assets


• Ensure the availability and reliability of all utilities at the Supply Center Elberfeld and Biological Development


• Develop and implement local IT strategies with a focus on digitalization


• Lead the development and training of all technical functions


• Develop, implement, and monitor mid- to long-term maintenance strategies in a GMP environment, balancing in-house and outsourced activities


• Drive continuous improvement of processes and facilities in plant and process safety, as well as HSE


• Initiate, steer, and monitor the planning and execution of investments, including budget and schedule management


• Utilize existing worldwide technical know-how as an active member of the international PH PS EMEX Management team

WHO YOU ARE

• Engineer with a degree in an engineering discipline (MSc) or another appropriate scientific discipline or advanced education


• Long-term experience in engineering and/or manufacturing, with profound knowledge in GMP and technical good practices and standards


• Proven track record in project and/or maintenance management roles within the pharmaceutical/chemical industry


• Experience working internationally or at different sites


• Strong technical and economical competencies, with very good communication and advanced project management skills


• Proven leadership skills with the ability to steer and motivate a diverse and large team


• Good understanding of supporting processes associated with operations, Research and Development, and maintenance on site


• Very good knowledge of engineering tools and skills in technical software


• Proven negotiation skills


• Fluent in local language and English, both oral and written
