As Equipment Master Data Manager/ Global Data Steward (m/f/d) for Sales & Service at KION ITS EMEA level, you will be part of an unbeatable team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our Group Data Management Organization at EMEA level and supporting future data related projects as the custodian for equipment-related data objects from the EMEA perspective, with the responsibility to set standards, rules and guidelines and enforce data quality and robust data governance in line with KION standards.
In addition, you will be the part of a current group-wide Business Transformation project (focused on SAP S/4HANA implementation with interfaces to other systems like Salesforce, etc., together with business processes harmonization and standardization), where you will be responsible for setting up the future working environment. Main responsibilities as Equipment Master Data Manager/ Global Data Steward for equipment-related data objects as part of ITS EMEA Sales & Service Data Management Organization:
Implementing and improving of processes related to Data Quality Management, especially defining standards, guidelines, and procedures at EMEA level for Sales & Service with the involvement of regional Data Stewards
Enforcing KION Group, as well as defining, and developing data governance rules, policies, and standards at EMEA level for Sales & Service area with the involvement of regional Data Stewards
Ensuring EMEA data practices comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as GDPR, ISO 8000, etc., and facilitating audits
Contributing to Equipment Data Lifecycle Management at KION Group and ITS EMEA Sales & Service level (data storage and archiving, retention, and disposal), including aligning the specific regional data classifications coming from regional Data Stewards
Supporting Global Data Owner in defining data access and security and acting as a point of contact for alignments of regional data access requirements
Collecting, developing, harmonizing, and aligning new requirements for equipment-related data objects, as well as enhancements, modifications, and improvements (such as data model changes, data quality rules, data governance rules, etc.), by acting as a bridge between IT, data management and process teams, and business units at EMEA and global level
Documenting data-related processes, standards, and changes for future reference, incl. metadata management, and ensuring transparency of data structure and usage at EMEA level
Contributing in data communities and future data related projects on EMEA and global level
Identifying and building subject matter expert network for EMEA within business and IT teams
Providing 3rd level data support and expertise to data key users for data requests and issues
Educating other employees about data governance, data management, and the importance of data compliance
In all those activities, as well as additional KION Business Transformation project tasks, you are supporting the Global Equipment Data Owner from Sales & Service perspective and are acting as an alignment point of contact for regional Data Stewards.
Tasks and Qualifications:
During current KION Business Transformation project you will additionally support the following tasks:
data migration for equipment-related data objects by validating data extraction and transformation rules with regional subject matter experts, as well as the data loads to prevent loss of information
support regional Data Stewards in identifying data cleansing needs for equipment-related data objects within current systems to ensure a smooth migration of data into the new system during the roll-in, and support where necessary in testing the solutions for mass errors corrections
contributing to the development of data migration and management concepts and cutover plan
supporting test data specification and preparation for test phases during the project
Your skills:
You have a degree in (technical) economics, e.g. in business informatics, industrial engineering or business administration or a similar practical experience in a related field
Engineering industry experience is an advantage
Strong Microsoft Office suite skills
Understanding of data management principles, including data lifecycle, quality, security, and privacy, as well as practical experience in data management and data analysis
SAP system knowledge and practical experience, ideally R3 and S/4 HANA, especially with equipment and equipment-related data object
Strong affinity for data and understanding of the connections between business processes and data flows across multiple IT systems and applications
Analytically minded and methodical approach in combination with business value and risk-based aspects
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders about data-related topics at management and operational levels
Able to understand, investigate and present complex data and process topics
Able to efficiently prioritise work and provide timely updates to stakeholders on the progress
Ability to deal with difficult situations and issues, as well as inter departmental or regional challenges regarding data governance demands
Strong written and communication skills in English language, independent and autonomous
