Expert (m/w/d) Cost & Value Management

The position provides cross-functional support to internal stakeholders during the sourcing and product development process, helping to drive the global purchasing and business development strategy and creating value for internal and external customers through detailed material and manufacturing process cost knowledge.

The Cost & Value Expert (m/f/d) reports to the Cellforce Executive Level and delivers strategic, tactical, and operational guidance for the Global Purchasing and Sales team, being responsible for cost analysis and process costing methods, tools and development of corresponding new business models.

• Define, implement, and maintain standardized cost analysis systems, tools and instruments for purchasing raw materials, services and equipment required on a global perspective for the battery cell production 
• Create saving opportunities by bringing new manufacturing concept ideas to supply-chain as well as new sources for raw material acquisition
• Realize cost savings for external sourced components by conducting detailed manufacturing process simulations and should cost calculation
• Consult on make-or-buy across multiple commodities
• Provide active purchasing negotiation support to global commodity team
• Global responsibility for the supplier cost reduction programs and process cost optimization
• Hire, develop and educate the cost engineering team and driving the business development capabilities for future growth 
• Provide strategic inputs for the establishment of new business areas and support the sales teams during the tendering process, negotiating client pricing, and forecast sales revenue

• Experience on expert level, i.e. 3 or more years of experience in finance or economics, especially in cost calculations
• Active participation in purchasing negotiations with high level spend
• Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of the complete business environment from the aspects of purchasing, engineering, quality and manufacturing as well as sales
• Strong leadership skills with ability to communicate at all levels in a cross functional, matrix oriented, multicultural organization
• High degree of adaption and flexibility 
• Travel required based on projects
