 Responsibilities

• You define and implement global trade compliance strategies to ensure compliance with export control requirements across the global DI MC organization
• You will advise in complex export compliance legal matters and engage with authorities and Siemens departments e.g. Legal, Governmental Affairs and other Siemens units
• You run and lead a global virtual network of Export Control and Legal professionals and associates
• You lead projects to develop innovative AI solutions and lean processes to enable export control compliant new business
• You cooperate within a strong network of regulatory bodies, legal and administrative authorities, governmental affairs and demonstrate a strong and reliable implementation of a global Siemens Internal Control Program (ICP)
• Provide regular communication and training to the assigned businesses on relevant export control and related legal topics
• Resolve Export Control blocking issues and complete approvals for certain higher risk transactions
• Lead trade compliance risk assessments and monitor compliance improvement plans based on risks identified
• Supervise and support global export classifications, consult sales and customers in all export classification requests.
• Be a trusted partner/ legal advisor at executive and management level with all organizations involved in global trade transactions to ensure trade compliance.
• Engage with senior leaders on strategies and initiatives that affect global trade compliance and where trade matters may impact strategy.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Education
• Master's degree in business law, business administration, international business or a corresponding subject area or equivalent of education with additional working experience in related field
• Experience & Skills
• Many years of professional experience in legal trade compliance with international leadership experience ideally based on a law degree
• Must have an extensive functional legal knowledge of US, China and European Union export control regulations.
• Your phenomenal understanding of Siemens Internal Control Program, a plus
• Strong understanding of Digital Industry
• Strong experience in drafting formal legal correspondence with government agencies and strong working experience with export regulatory bodies and trade associations.

• Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills
• Strong project management skills
• Previous experience managing people is required
• Languages
• Proficient in English
• Other Languages, a plus
