Field Service Technician/Engineer

• Germany Wide (Home based 1-2 Days / Customer site based 3-4 Days)
• €50,000 Basic Salary
• 30 days’ vacation + Statutory Holidays
• 38.5 Hour standard Week
• Overtime given as Holiday in lieu

This organisation is a world leading manufacturer for applications throughout numerous industrial sectors, including oil and gas, metallurgy, chemical, pharma, biotech, defence, marine process etc.

With an engineering heritage spanning over 80 years, the group has a turnover of multi-millions globally. The organisation is focused on the manufacture and supply of specialty machined products for critical applications and are now looking to strengthen their sales team with the addition of a first-class Service Technician/Engineer.

The Role:

As a service technician, you will be responsible for the monitoring, installation, mechanical maintenance and commissioning of core and additional products at the customer's site. 

These are mainly assignments within central Germany, with occasional international travel opportunity. 

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, installation, repair and maintenance of our client’s core products.
• Mechanical assembly work on a wide range of applications.
• Engineering site management, including customer management and internal team supervision.
• Supporting the Technical Department in new development projects and identifying new potential services.
• Creation and maintenance of databases as well as preparation of reports/work plans and recommendations.
• Preparation of risk assessments and implementation of safety briefings on site.

The Successful Candidate:

• Engineering experience or qualifications – Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial. 
• Ability to travel, field based 3-4 days per week.
• Ability to work in a team and work independently.
• Good knowledge of German and English.
• Driving licence class B.
