Your mission

Overview of the position:
Hours: Full-time (100%)
Start date: as soon as possible
Duration: 30.09.2027
Salary: According to TVöD Bund, pay grade E10
Location: Berlin, Germany
Department & reporting line: Finance & Administration / Head of Unit Finance Management

Develop and review project budgets in line with donor regulations
Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and financial performance
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Support project managers on the financial planning of project activities and donor financial requirements
Identify, assess and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with projects
Provide advice on contracts with project partners and service providers
Review and approve invoices, travel expense, partners’ financial reports and payments, including required supporting documentation.
Support the preparation of annual financial statements.

Your knowledge, experience & skills

University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or auditing.
At least 3 year’s experience in financial management of donor-funded projects
Knowledge of donor funding regulations (e.g. German Federal Foreign Office, European Commission)
Good understanding of procurement and funding processes
Experience in auditing is an advantage
Advanced Excel skills
Fluent English; German at least B1 (written and spoken)
Independent working style, strong ownership, and strong communication skills.
