Company Overview
Our client is a consulting company specialising in large-scale Finance transitions and Global Business Services (GBS) and Shared Services transformation programmes. They work with organisations to design, implement and stabilise Finance operating models, helping businesses transition in-scope processes into target GBS and Shared Services structures. Their work spans multiple countries and sectors, requiring deep Finance process expertise, strong stakeholder engagement and disciplined programme governance. They support clients through every phase of transition, from planning and knowledge transfer through to parallel run and stabilisation.
They are looking for an experienced Finance Transition Manager with fluent German to join their team and lead end-to-end Finance transitions for clients based in Germany and the Middle East. This is an opportunity to apply your consulting delivery background and Finance process expertise to complex, multi-country transformation programmes.
Position Overview
As a Finance Transition Manager, you will lead the transition of in-scope Finance processes from legacy sites and entities into the target GBS or Shared Services model. You will manage the full transition lifecycle, including planning, knowledge transfer, parallel run and stabilisation. Your role will involve close collaboration with senior Finance stakeholders, process owners and employee representative bodies. You will own the Finance workstream RAID log, resolve issues, escalate risks and ensure compliant delivery within the programme's governance framework. This role requires extensive travel to Germany and the Middle East, and the ability to work on-site for extended periods.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end transition of Finance processes such as P2P, O2C, R2R and FP&A into the target operating model

Support the design of standardised, controlled Finance process operating models
Identify process gaps, inefficiencies and standardisation opportunities during transition
Work with process owners to define target-state controls and standard operating procedures
Act as the primary point of contact for Finance stakeholders in Germany throughout the transition lifecycle
Lead workshops, steering updates and status reporting with senior Finance and business stakeholders
Build strong working relationships with retained Finance teams and works councils or employee representative bodies where required
Operate within the programme's governance framework, tracking milestones, dependencies and risks to ensure compliant delivery
Requirements
Proven track record delivering Finance transitions, transformation or GBS and Shared Services migrations in a consulting or advisory capacity (consulting delivery background required, not purely operational)
Strong subject-matter expertise across core Finance processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A or similar
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (essential)
Willing and able to travel to and work on-site in Germany and the Middle East for extended periods
Experience managing multi-country, multi-stakeholder transitions
Strong project management, RAID and governance discipline
Excellent senior stakeholder management skills
Experience engaging with German works councils or employee representative bodies is desirable
