Financial Accounting Manager / Controller (6-Month Contract) – Frankfurt, Hybrid

This hybrid position offers the flexibility to work both from home and our centrally located Frankfurt office (Bockenheimer Landstrasse), giving you the best of both worlds.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Financial Accounting Manager / Controller to take ownership of financial operations for German legal entities and support regional projects across EMEA. You’ll be an integral part of a high-performing international team, contributing to everything from statutory reporting and audits to tax compliance and process improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead month-end close processes and balance sheet reconciliations
  




• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with US GAAP and German local GAAP
  




• Coordinate with external auditors for timely completion of audits
  




• Support preparation of tax and VAT returns and related workflows
  




• Assist in restructuring, M&A, and disposal projects across the region
  




• Drive process improvement initiatives and implement best practices
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  




• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or similar qualification
  




• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting
  




• Solid knowledge of German GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations
  




• Experience working with auditors (Big 4 background is a plus)
  




• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
  




• Highly organised with a hands-on, problem-solving attitude
