Current Opportunity

Job Title: Financial Controller (m/f/d)     
Location: Frankfurt 

Organisational Context

The Financial Controller IFRS & HGB is responsible for leading the month-end/year-end processes and for preparing the financial statements according to IFRS and German GAAP for three legal entities in Germany. He/she assures compliance with all internal guidelines as well as statutory and legal requirements. Being based in Frankfurt, the position is part of a global team and reports to the Head of Financial Controlling EMEA and Hold Co’s in Frankfurt.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Preparing and analysing monthly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and German GAAP and lead respective audits.


• Analysing data to identify business impacts, tracking financial performance against KPIs and deriving actionable measures.


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior financial professionals on numerous tasks & projects


• Support with annual corporate income tax declarations and tax audits in cooperation with tax department


• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and INEOS group reporting guidelines


• Participating in projects to optimize financial operations and improve efficiency.


• Provide advice for expert topics

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Master’s degree in finance / economics; bachelor’s degree plus additional qualification as certified accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)


• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in an industrial and international environment and / or audit firm


• Strong understanding of financial accounting requirements including IFRS and German GAAP


• Sound knowledge of management accounting and reporting techniques


• High level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills


• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively


• Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to setting priorities


• Experience working with SAP FI & CO is a plus


• Business fluency in English and German
