Founding Engineer (m/f/d)

We're looking for an experienced, ownership-driven Founding Engineer (m/f/d) to help build the engineering foundation of one of Europe's most ambitious AI-native fintech plays. Our partner company is building AI-native software that automates private market operations, replacing manual fund accounting processes with intelligent, traceable workflows tackling a $13 trillion industry still run on outdated infrastructure.

You will build full-stack, AI-native product features end-to-end, design and own the agent framework, including context engineering and agentic workflows and shape significant parts of the product roadmap. You work directly with founders and users, translating real operational pain points into shipped features and grow fast into leadership as you prove impact.

In this role, you’ll:

• Engage directly with users to understand real-world challenges in private market operations


• Build full-stack features that combine intuitive interfaces with intelligent backend logic


• Design and build the agent framework, including context engineering and agentic workflows


• Own significant product areas end-to-end and help shape the development roadmap


• Shape and improve AI-native product delivery processes as the team scales


• Move fast and iterate closely with the founders and users in a tight-knit Berlin team

Your Profile: 

• Consistent curiosity and a strong sense of ownership over your work


• Ability to bridge engineering and product, communicating clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders


• Systemic thinker who understands how frontend and backend connect


• Favours pragmatic solutions over unnecessary complexity


• Proficiency with TypeScript, NestJS, Postgres, Prisma, React, or an equivalent stack


• Ideally curious about or experienced in private markets, fund administration, or other manual, process-heavy industries
